Description
The Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis) is a small, deciduous tree native to eastern and central North America. It is famous for its vibrant display of rosy-pink to lavender-purple flowers that bloom directly on bare branches—and even the trunk—before its leaves emerge in early spring. Reaching about 25 ft tall and 25 ft wide, this is a wonderful accent or specimen tree in urban or rural landscapes alike.
